A sound bath is all about bathing your mind and body in beautiful, calming sounds. It’s like giving your nervous system a gentle hug while you lie down, relax, and simply let the sounds wash over you.
At Positivity Mind Body and Soul CIC, we hold monthly sound baths as part of our wellness sessions — and they’ve quickly become one of our most loved events. If you’ve ever wondered what a sound bath is all about, here’s a little peek:
So… What Actually Happens at a Sound Bath?
It’s wonderfully simple:
You arrive and settle in (most people lie down on a mat with a blanket and cushion to get extra cosy).
The lights are soft, the space is calm, and you’re gently guided to relax and breathe.
Then the sounds begin: gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments create gentle waves of vibration.
All you have to do is rest and allow the sounds to do their thing!
That’s it. No effort, no tricky poses, no “doing” — just being.
